History The Girl Scout “Little House”, located in downtown Grand Haven, has been in use since 1942. It was erected specifically for the Girl Scouts, and was built as a community effort on property donated by local citizen Eleanor Griffin-McNett. Over the years, thanks to the contributions of many supporters of Girl Scouting, additions and improvements have continued to make the Girl Scout House an ideal place for meetings, trainings and overnights. While the Girl Scout House continues to be used primarily as a meeting place for local troops, Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails maintains the premises and makes it available for use by any Girl Scout troop or group.| Top | Facilities Facilities and equipment at the Girl Scout House include: • three large meeting/activity rooms, two of which may be used for sleeping (maximum capacity of 36 people).Fire code does not allow sleeping in the basement activity room. • kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, small appliances, basic cooking equipment, and dinner service for twenty. • two-stall bathroom downstairs and a barrier free bathroom upstairs (no shower facilities). • fireplace in main meeting room, firewood is not provided. • folding tables and chairs. The Girl Scout House has a ramp for handicapped access to the main floor; however, the kitchen is not barrier free.

| Top | Deposit, Refund and Cancellation Information for Girl Scout House 1. All required deposits must accompany Reservation Request Forms. 2. The full rental fee must be paid by the due date indicated on your Confirmation Form or your reservation is subject to cancellation. 3. REFUND POLICY: Rental fees will be returned for a withdrawn reservation if:
4. If the written request is received less than three weeks in advance of the reservation date, the entire $25.00 deposit will be forfeited. 5. Transfers from one date to another are considered the same as cancellation and all the above apply. 6. NO-SHOWS forfeit all deposits and rental fees. 7. Cleaning/security deposits will be returned only if the facilities, furnishing and equipment are left in good condition. If any clean-up or repairs are required, all or part of your deposit will be forfeited.
