How We Are Funded

9 United Ways and one Community Chest throughout the 6 county area support girl Scouts of Michigan Trails. They are:

• Heart of West Michigan United Way
• United Way of Montcalm County
• United Way of Zeeland
• Greater Holland United Way
• Tri-Cities Area United Way
• Northeast Ottawa United Way
• Portland Area United Way
• United Way Community Chest Greater Ionia
• Evart Community Chest

14% of the revenue to support Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails is public support. That includes annual giving, gifts/contributions, United Way, grants and gifts in kind.

64% of the revenue to support Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails is generated from product sales, including the cookie sale.

12% of the revenue comes from program fees.

The remaining 10% comes from miscellaneous income including sale of supplies and interest income.
